Precision Current Transformers

All Dent Instruments current transformers are shunted and therefore, safe compared to the other industry standard. They come in three types: split-core, clamp-on, and flexible.
They all produce 333mV when they are at their full scale.
The split core cts are easily and safely installed over existing electrical power lines without disconnecting the lines or interrupting service.

  • ELOG™ Software
    for DATApro and ELITEpro instruments
ELOG is the software package that is used for interfacing with the ELITEpro and the DATApro instruments. Everything from setup, real time data display, data analysis, harmonic/waveform capture analysis and automatic data collection is built into this Microsoft Windows™ based software.

ELOG automatically detects what type of instrument it is communicating with and adjusts the appropriate options accordingly. This makes setting up of your equipment even easier. All of the options are fully user configurable and can be turned on or off with just a button click.

You can communicate with your logger directly or remotely with the built in modem option. The real time display enables verification of equipment installation as well as quick and easy monitoring of data.

Data analysis is a key function when choosing monitoring equipment. ELOG makes it easy in several ways. Creating graphs, viewing the data in tabular format or exporting to Microsoft Excel™ are all simple tasks.

ELOG makes use of several available graphing functions. The graph types, style, axis titles and all other options are almost limitless. If more analysis is required the software easily exports the data as an ASCII comma delimited text file for importing into spreadsheets.

With the introduction of new technologies such as computers and variable frequency motor drives etc. we are creating more problems for the energy engineer. Not only is keeping track of the amount of energy used and the demand for it important now, the power's quality is also a consideration.
Harmonic content and waveform capture allow detailed analysis of the input data. One channel is displayed at a time with the voltage and current harmonics displayed graphically in the upper part of the window. The y-axis is scaled in percent of the fundamental with the x-axis being the harmonic.
The actual value of the voltage and current for each harmonic may be selected. Summary statistics for the overall current and voltage waveforms, including rms value, total harmonic distortion (THD), peak values and crest factor can also be selected.
Note: The individual harmonic values and THD can be shown as a percentage of the fundamental (IEEE Standard 1035-1989) or as a percentage of the total rms value (CSA and IEC standard).
Harmonics to the 64th plus the dc component are available.

ELOG supports multiple remote data collection options: AutoPoll™ and AutoHost™.
AutoPoll is a Windows™ application that comes with ELOG. It allows your PC to perform automatic scheduled data downloads from loggers that are connected to a modem.
AutoHost is the second remote data collection package. It enables loggers equipped with an internal modem to automatically call a host computer.

ELOG also supports preset alarms. The user can set an alarm condition set-point. When an alarm condition occurs, the logger records the condition and calls out to a computer with AutoHost. The logger then downloads an alarm report and performs a full download of the data prior to the alarm condition. This allows the user to analyse the data leading up to the alarm.

    SMARTloggers
    Time of Use Monitors
The SMARTloggers are single channel time-of-use loggers which detect the actual times when a device turns on and off. The on/off profiles are stored on board for later retrieval and analysis using the SMARTware software and your computer. These three instruments are designed to address the top reasons that monitoring is sometimes skipped - price and complexity.
The LIGHTINGlogger monitors lighting usage, whether you're there or not.
The MAGlogger monitors motors and similar devices simply by being near the magnetic field.
The CTlogger comes with a clamp CT (current transformer) to isolate the field you want to monitor.

All SMARTloggers use SMARTware software that makes it easy to analyze and visually present monitored data. SMARTware has a variety of pre-programmed analyses and graphs, and can also export the data to popular spreadsheets and databases such as Excel® and Access®.
